Wake Up Alice - A Nocturnal Portrait

We can only perceive things subjectively. Thus also a building can only be understood in a very personal manner. This project tried to examine how to change the perception of a building using the medium of film.

This is a portrait of the MFO Park in Oerlikon Zurich by night. I wanted to give the building another atmosphere and to test out, how a building can be perceived in the night and what feelings can be evoked. Opposite to its lush and positive atmosphere in the day, I tried to depict the park as a monstrous machine, as something maybe even frightening. In the end, unveiling it was all but a dream.
